St. Tammany Humane Society has a “Cause for Paws”
Animal-lovers gathered on Oct. 27 at the Beau Chene Country Club in Mandeville to attend “Cause for Paws,” an evening soirée benefiting the St. Tammany Humane Society.
Chris Burke and his New Orleans Band entertained guests, as did musician Glyn Bailey. Partygoers enjoyed a buffet dinner including dishes like jambalaya, gumbo and crab cakes remoulade.
Silent auction items included a golf package, New Orleans hotel stays, a pearl necklace and ring, and a George Rodrigue print. All of this helped raise almost $10,000 to improve the humane society’s animal-care facility in Covington, educational programs, and low-cost spay and neuter services.
