Celebrity Grand Marshal Kriss Fairbairn of WDSU-TV6, along with her husband Col. John Fortunato and son Nicholas, were part of the over 10,000 spectators and almost 500 costumed dogs that crowded the Mandeville Lakefront Sunday, February 10, to celebrate Mardi Paws.
Costume Contest Judges Leslie Boudreaux, Sharon Scheib and Becky Vest took their difficult jobs in stride during Mardi Paws, which benefits two of the Northshore’s volunteer nonprofits aimed toward helping children and animals alike: Have a Heart thru Art & the St. Tammany Spay & Neuter Program.
